July/August 2002Welcome to the July/August Division Leaders' Brief. This month's issue is filled with articles to help you manage your Division. Make sure to share this information with your fellow Division leaders, members, colleagues, and friends. Please remember to log in as a member to access the links below. Contents: 1. Division Officers for 2003 There has been a change to your 2002 Key Dates! You will now be receiving in the mail your 2003 Division Leaders Report Form on 15 September instead of 1 November. If you already know who your officers are for 2003 you can download the form here and e-mail it to Kelly Bishop as early as today! If you are appointing a new Director or Director-elect, please remember these appointments will need to be approved at the Board of Department Vice Presidents Meeting in Chicago at the PFM. You will need to submit those appointments prior to the President's Fall Meeting. All you need to include is the person's name and the position to which they have been elected. With this information, ISA Staff will be able to serve your Division better by providing correct contact information on your Division's Web page and newsletter. In addition, ISA Staff will be soon be offering new online Leadership Seminars for Section and Division leaders in the late Fall/Winter so we will need to know who your leaders are for 2003. Please keep on the lookout for this very important form. ATTENTION ISA 2002 DIVISION PROGRAM COORDINATORS Final Papers are due on 16 August. ISA staff is working directly with authors, reviewers, and session chairs to maximize each division's paper count for the proceedings. To get updated program information, please visit www.isa.org/isa2002 or contact Richard Arriola. DIVISION ROSTER AND LABELS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE At last, you can download your Division Rosters online! This action will save you a lot of time and provide information when you want. The new process provides a comprehensive file of data about each Division member at the end of each month. Both access and excel templates, instructions and ISA's Privacy Policy are all available online for downloading the roster. Please remember you must be logged in so the system can recognize you. Your Division roster is updated monthly and each run is dated. The coded Division Director, Director-elect, Membership Chair, Department Vice President and Vice President-elect can download the roster information. The coded leaders for this privilege will find the information at the bottom of the page under Members and Leaders > Leader Resources > Division > Admin Forms. We will no longer be sending out rosters so please make sure you begin using this process immediately. If you have any questions regarding the downloading process please contact Kelly Bishop. We need your help in spreading the word about ISA 2002. If you are a user, working with colleagues that would benefit from the great education, networking, and information exchange available only at ISA 2002, you are just who we are looking for. Insiders will distribute ISA 2002 information within their facilities. ISA will provide you with all the collateral as well as periodic updates on exciting event developments. In exchange, you will receive an Insiders Rewards Package which includes complimentary reserved parking at McCormick Place, an ISA shirt sporting the new ISA logo, a free conference session of your choice and recognition for you and your company in the on-site ISA 2002 directory. The annual conference and exhibition is a significant source of funding for your Society. Let's all do what we can to make this year's event a success.
