Business At Hand:
BYLAWS AMENDMENT: DUES
On recommendation of the Image & Membership Department, the ISA Executive Board passed a motion to recommend to the Council of Society Delegates that dues be increased from $100.00 to $110.00 to be effective January 1, 2013.
REPORT OF THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Nominating Committee Chair Gerald Cockrell reported that the Nominating Committee will present the following slate of candidates for election by the 2012 Council of Society Delegates:
President-elect Secretary: Peggie Koon (Morris Digital Inc.) Management Division
Society Treasurer: Jim Keaveney (Emerson Process Management) Lehigh Valley Section
Automation & Technology Department Vice President-elect: Dennis Coad (The Boeing Co.) Aerospace Industries and Test Measurement Divisions
Publications Department Vice President-elect: Shari Worthington (Telesian Technology Inc.) Management Division
Standards & Practices Department Vice President-elect: Nicholas Sands (DuPont) Wilmington Section
2012 FELLOWS
On recommendation of the Admissions Committee the Executive Board approved elevating eight Senior members to the distinguished grade of ISA Fellow. New Fellows will be recognized at the 2012 Honors & Award Gala.
2012 HONOREES
On recommendation of the Honors & Awards Committee the Executive Board approved a slate of honorees in all award categories to be recognized at the 2012 Honors & Awards Gala.
EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP RECOMMENDATIONS
On recommendation of the Professional Development Department Scholarship Committee, the Executive Board approved awarding $53,872 in scholarships to 20 students.
GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE TASK FORCE
President Lindeman reported that the Governance Structure Task Force conducted a face to face session in conjunction with the Spring Leader Meeting and anticipates presenting their report to the 2012 Council of Society Delegates meeting as assigned.
STRATEGIC PLANNING: MISSION AND VISION
Strategic Planning Vice President Walsh reported that the Strategic Planning Department plans to review the mission and vision statements to determine if revisions are desired.
