ISA Honors and Awards Nominations
Nomination process
- Submission of nomination by the established deadline.
- Upon receipt of nomination, acknowledgement sent to candidate, with copy to nominator, requesting background documentation to support nomination.
- Nominations with documentation submitted to appropriate Society Committees for evaluation. Candidate documentation is treated with confidentiality.
- Recommendation of candidates presented to ISA Executive Board for action.
- Approval of candidate recommendations by ISA Executive Board (typically takes place at Leaders Meeting).
- Notification of selection from ISA President to award recipients.
- Notification to all nominators and candidates of announcing selected recipients.
- Presentation of awards at ISA Honors & Awards Gala. View photos of the Gala

1 June — Section Performance Award

Biographical Information Forms
Upon receipt of the nomination, the candidate will be notified and asked to complete the biographical information form specific to their nomination. Nominators and candidates are encouraged to work together to provide complete documentation including appropriate letters of endorsement and support.

Nomination Tips
Following is a checklist used by the Honors & Awards subcommittees in their review of candidate submissions. Following these guidelines will not guarantee that an individual will be recommended for recognition, but it will ensure that the submittal is presented in the best possible manner.
Checklist
- Contact information is complete (including names and addresses)
- Format of the form has been followed.
- Data is presented neatly. Neatness counts and can be invaluable in the ease of evaluation.
- Citation or reason for the nomination is stated clearly.
- Specific service award criteria (such as required years of service) has been carefully considered.
- ISA participation is arranged in chronological order.
- Other achievements are documented completely.
- Attachments are referenced to specific portions of the nomination form.
Some Honors & Awards subcommittees have developed judging criteria that is used in their evaluation of candidates. The Committee recommends review of the evaluation criteria prior to submission of a nomination.
