The ISA Community

You can work with ISA in any number of ways to advance your professional career, the field of instrumentation, systems, and automation, the mission of the Society, the interests of students and education, or your corporate interests.

As a Professional

Share your expertise and help advance the technology and application of automation.

• Provide industry news or an article for publication in ISA Insights, InTech, the ISA website, or  ISA Transactions
• Present and publish your findings during one of ISA's Technical Conferences or Division Symposia.
• Write or a book or contribute as a technical reviewer
• Develop or present an ISA Training Course
• Participate in ISA Standards and Practices (S&P) Development
• Contribute to an ISA Technical Community by participating in one of ISA's online communities or email lists

As an ISA Member or Leader

ISA was founded on the idea of a strong volunteer presence and the architecture of the Society promotes leadership and involvement by all members.  Your active involvement in the Society keeps ISA moving forward.

• Take a leadership role in a local Professional or Student Section, or Technical Division
• Publish a newsletter
• Manage a web site
• Organize events

As an Educator

Help advance ISA’s educational mission

• Become a Mentor - Share your expertise and insights with a young professional or student.
• Assist an ISA Student Section - Become a faculty advisor to a student section and help students see the value of professional societies.
• Contribute to the Body of Knowledge - Contribute to ISA Transactions, technical conferences, InTech, standards committees.
• Provide Leadership to ISA's Professional Development Activities - Volunteer to serve on one of the committees that sets strategies for ISA.

As An Industry Leader

Realize the benefits of advertising in one or more of ISA's publications, maximize the effectiveness of face to face encounters by participating in an exhibition, technical conference or symposia, or leverage ISA’s powerful media mix by becoming a corporate partner.  Select the optimal channel to build your brand, raise awareness of your products, reinforce your presence to customers, and sell your products.
