Governing StructureThe senior governing body of ISA is The Executive Board, which is composed of the four society officers (President, President-elect Secretary, Past-President, and Treasurer) and twelve Members chosen by two subordinate boards to represent various parts of the Society. The Board of District Vice Presidents selects six Members of the Executive Board, and the Board of Department Vice Presidents selects six members. The ISA Executive Director is a non-voting member of the Executive Board. The ISA Executive Committee is a committee of the Executive Board that can act with the authority of the Executive board in most matters. Board of District Vice PresidentsThe Board of District Vice Presidents is composed of the vice presidents elected from each of the 13 Districts. The Board of District Vice Presidents reports to the Executive Board. Board of Department Vice PresidentsThe Board of Department Vice Presidents is composed of the vice-presidents elected to lead the seven departments-four products (publications, standards, professional development, and web), two technical (Automation & Technology and Industry & Services), and one administrative (strategic planning). The Board of Department Vice Presidents reports to the Executive Board. ISA Services, Inc. (ISASI)Certain ISA publications that carry significant advertising content are managed by the ISA Services, Inc. (ISASI) board of directors. ISASI is a wholly-owned subsidiary corporation of ISA. Council of Society DelegatesThe Council of Society Delegates is the main legislative body of ISA. Each Section is represented by one delegate whose voting power is equal to the membership of the Section. The Council of Society Delegates votes on any changes in the bylaws governing ISA and elects the Society officers. |
