What is the ISA Foundation?

The ISA Foundation is the umbrella organization for all fundraising activities, including the ISA Standards Foundation and ISA Educational Foundation. The Society welcomes gifts and donations of all kinds to support its many activities.

Cash Gifts

You may choose to make a cash gift to the ISA Foundation by check. All donations are tax deductible.

Securities

Another option is to make a gift through publicly traded securities that have increased in value. If you have owned the securities for more than one year and one day, you may bypass capital gain taxes and take a tax deduction for the current value by giving the appreciated securities to the ISA for the benefit of the ISA Education Foundation. Planned Gifts

The ISA Foundation qualifies for estate and gift tax deductions as well as income tax deductions. You may remember the ISA Foundation in your will, and your gift will be deducted from your estate for estate tax purposes. In addition, if your estate planning involves more complex requirements, the ISA Foundation will work with your estate planning advisor to provide other forms of gifts to the ISA Foundation that may be beneficial to your estate, such as gift annuities, deferred gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and gifts of life insurance. Corporate and Foundation Gifts

A company or foundation can contribute funds to the ISA Foundation to support any activities compatible with ISA's mission. If you know of a company or foundation that may be willing to support ISA programs, please contact Ken Hilgers at (919) 990-9435. The ISA staff will work with you to prepare a proposal to seek such funds.

Endowments

The ISA Foundation is authorized to maintain both endowment and cash accounts. The Society encourages individuals and companies to consider gifts to support specific activities or departments. ISA can accept donations in any form, including stocks, bonds, real property, remainder trusts, and beneficiary of estates.
