Nicholas P. Sands is being recognized for development of global
alarm monitoring applications, interlock bypassing, and alarm
suppression safety standards.
Sands, a leading expert in process control technology in the areas
of Process Automation, Safety, and Alarm Management, has
authored numerous papers on the subjects and has been the
recipient of several awards for his contributions to the field of
alarm management and process automation.
Sands hold a BS ChE from Virginia Tech. Sands is currently a
Manufacturing Technology Fellow in the Protection Technologies
business at E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company in
