Jerry Booher

Jerry BooherJerry Booher has an extensive background in electronics and instrumentation.  His initial introduction to electronics was at a 4th echelon repair facility in the United States Marine Corps.   As a technician and supervisor, in the private sector, he was responsible for maintaining plant process instrument equipment/systems including on-stream and lab analyzers, burner management control, automatic drumming lines, PLCs, DDC and DCS systems.  He has also participated in the design, commissioning and start-up of burner management, PLC controlled reactor shutdown and, computer controlled continuous and batch processes.  As an I&E Training Supervisor he participated in the development of a 4-year self paced module and skills lab training program for I&E Technicians that included a real world "Skills Validation System". He retired from The Dow Chemical Company after 32.5 years in various technical capacities, primarily in instrumentation, working in or supervising maintenance, small project design, commissioning and startup. 

Jerry holds an AAS - Instrumentation Technology from Brazosport College, where he also served as an adjunct faculty instructor for over 10 years and a Project Manager for the College’s Center for Business/Industrial Training.  He has also served on the advisory boards for Instrumentation Technology for Brazosport College, and Texas State Technical College, at the Harlingen and Waco Campuses.
