Frankie Wood-Black

Frankie Wood-Black has over twenty years’ experience in the petroleum and chemical industry including technical management, laboratory operations, environmental science and compliance, with primary focus in the area of refining and downstream operations.  

She currently serves as Senior Air Professional for TriHydro Corporation in Laramie, WY.  Her work history also includes positions of research physicist, environmental scientist, site manager, quality assurance team leader, and technology services marketing manager for Phillips Petroleum; as well as, registered environmental manager and director of consent decree compliance, health, environment, safety, and refining for Conoco Phillips.

Adding to her professional development, Wood-Black is heavily involved with the American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Industrial Research Institute and Chemical Sciences Roundtable (National Academies of Science), in activities associated with chemical health and safety, research initiatives, and public outreach and training associated with chemical industry career development.

Wood-Black holds an MBA, as well as a B.S. and Ph.D. in Physics.  She has issued to her credit a wealth of patents, publications, and paper presentations delivered at numerous technical-related industry conferences and events.
