Doug Rothenberg

Doug Rothenberg has a broad background in academia, industrial process control, and consulting, spanning a time period approaching nearly 4 decades. His primary activities have been locating, designing, developing, and deploying technology to enable manufacturing enterprises to obtain enhanced benefits from the infrastructure they already have at site.

He did the pioneering work in the development and deployment of DCS alarm management technology from 1989 through the present. He was a founding member of the Alarm Management Task Force and the ASM Consortium. Currently Doug is a Subject Matter Expert in alarm management with Invensys Process Systems. He also operates D-RoTH, a small controls consulting firm providing services and technology for safer operation of industrial processes.
