Now Featuring: ISA on YouTube

The International Society of Automation, ISA, is now available on YouTube, the Internet’s largest self-publishing video website. Having ISA videos available on YouTube will reach larger and more diverse audiences in addition to posting videos on www.isa.org.

It’s commonly known that tomorrow’s workforce gathers information on a wide variety of media, including social media on the Internet. To effectively reach them, companies and organizations, like ISA, need to be visible on these websites. YouTube is a prime example of a social medium that ISA can use to reach potential automation professionals.

To reach our future workforce ISA recently posted more informal videos created to appeal to them. These non-scripted videos focus on showing the viewer that a career in automation can be cool and that the opportunities are unlimited.

Here are some of these videos:

ISA posted its first corporate video, ISA Connections, back in 2007 on YouTube featuring an overview of ISA and what makes ISA a great Member society as a whole. This was updated in 2008 to reflect all the new Member benefits and services that were implemented. Since then, additional ISA videos have been placed on the popular website. These more formal, professional videos focus on specific products, such as CAP® or Member benefits. Here are those videos:

One of the many benefits of posting ISA videos on YouTube is the ability to share it with friends by quickly emailing the link or sending it to other websites, such as facebook.com and myspace.com. This viral marketing has proven very effective as ISA’s presence grows on YouTube. We hope to generate and inspire a new generation to become automation professionals—one video at a time.
