The program will review the definition of severe service control valves, an overview of trim designs, and comparisons of different designs of multistage
trims. Differences in the valve trim design can not only impact the cavitation and noise generation in the valve trim but wear of the valve trim as well.
Field installations of equipment and measured performance differences for various trim types will be examined as well. |
Speaker:
Joe Steinke is Principal Engineer at CCI (Control Components Inc) and has 31 years in the control valve business. Joe has a BSME in Mechanical engineering.
Joe has been with CCI for 17 years and spent 14 years with Masoneilan. While with CCI and Masoneilan, Joe has been involved with the application, sales,
design, manufacture, and servicing of Severe Service control valves and is the winner of the 2008 ISA Doug Annin award for his expertise in control valves.
Joe currently holds 6 patents on various control valve technologies, and has published a number of technical papers regarding severe service control valves.
